Hôtel de la Lumière

Goutte de Lumière

Delicate yet imposing, elegant yet assertive, classic yet unconventional, the Goutte de Lumière (Drop of light) set stands out thanks to its radiance and its character. Inspired by Gabrielle Boucheron, this set perfectly illustrates the bohemian spirit; an artistic ideal based on freedom, light-heartedness, femininity and self-confidence.

To create is to remember

Goutte de Lumière is inspired by this unique life style which Gabrielle Boucheron chose for herself.

Her husband, Frédéric Boucheron, would bring back from his many travels the rarest and most sumptuous fabrics with which she adorned herself.

The Magician of Stones

The long necklace is made up of 80 briolette-cut rock crystals, alternating polished and unpolished “frosted” surfaces to create a gradation of the play on light.

The sparkle of the necklace is enhanced by diamond motifs cut into “slices” and inserted between the drops in a random fashion to give an impression of movement to the set.

This assembly of stones is executed so that there is no visible thread inside the necklace. In this case as is the rule for Boucheron craftsmanship, the aesthetic ideal hides the technique.

The Hands of Light

In addition to the voluntarily free assembly of the stones, the beauty of this set resides in the hanging of the rock crystal drop motif and its complexity.
The diamond-studded ring attaching the drop to the necklace chain is adorned with an Art deco design.

And so, Goutte de Lumière is a sort of invitation to dream, appealing to the senses with a magnetic and sensual power.

The Sparkle of Soul

More than just a necklace, Goutte de Lumière is an art de vivre. It shines not only with extreme femininity, but also with bohemian spirit. How to define this complex way of being?
It is a spirit represented by free and passionate people, they are dandies, collectors, artists or muses and they seek an artistic ideal where the aesthetic rhymes with pleasure.

They have one thing in common; they are radiant, they transcend fashion and time and invite us to dream.
